If he dies, he dies.

(I'm not dying - nice try poindexter).

So Friday was pretty fun. I woke up late and sat around doing practically nothing til about 4pm when Monica rung me, having just gotten to vegas and wanting to go out. I was kinda in a beer-drinking mood as well and agreed. Dean and I met Monica at Margaritaville, and were joined by Jono shortly afterwards.

We ascended to the rooftop bar, overlooking the middle of the strip, and our server 'Big Dick' got us a few drinks. We discussed how hot it was for some time, before the sun eventually receded below the Caesar's Palace skyline. Should have taken a photo of the nacho plate Big Dick brought us, was pretty insanely big. We got thru the majority of it before resolving to go to the Hofbrauhaus. Monica promptly lost the small creditcard roulette bill, nice of her, but to be expected as she is the most recent arrival to Vegas.

Arriving at the Hofbrauhaus I was surprised and pleased by how raucous the crowd already appeared to be despite it only being like 7pm. Shortly before finishing my first stein they made us all stand to sing the US National Anthem, I pleased myself by remembering quite a few words that you pick up along the way from kinda paying attention to it when you hear it at random places or on TV.

We drank Hofbrauhaus Original, which was more than satisfactory. The place resembled the Lowenbrau and German Austrian Club back home in terms of authenticity; the band was not as good, but they had a guy playing a 20ft Alpine horn which was pretty awesome.

Two steins and half a dozen shots of sour apple schnapps later (which I'm certain was just Pucker) we realised that Aleks and Co would not be joining us and we proceeded to meet them at the Rio as they had just concluded their day one of the Main Event.

We had quite a few more drinks at the Rio, and Punty was kind enough to buy me a cigar which allowed me to get back at the smokers. I craftily won every roulette for drinks (we actually scissors/paper/rock'd it) and we were soon joined by Van Marcus, Lily, Dave Ewing, and a few more randoms. Couple of drinks later it was decided that we had to go to Bellagio to eat. Seeing that there was a 2 second wait for a cabs we snap-decided to get a limo. Monica again kindly lost credit card roulette (however, her winning $1k on BlackJack probably eased the pain a little).

Bellagio cafe hadn't changed, they still waited 5min to seat us in the completely empty restaurant. I had the bacon cheeseburger again and it was a little better this time than previously. Matt was kind enough to lose his one millionth credit card roulette in a row, and we returned home, agreeing to all meet somewhere the next day at lunchtime for a pool/cabana party.

I woke up at 5pm.

Hope all is well back home.
