Still sick :(

It's not all doom and gloom, the worst of the flu has passed, thanks chiefly to my rock-solid immune system. I expect to be well again in the next 18-30 hours; just in time to see everyone else in the house develop the flu.

I have tried my hardest to not pass on the flu to them all, ie. I have pretty much not left my room since I got sick, but these things have a way of happening.

The house is back down to the regulation number of participants, 8, with any luck this remains the case for a while. That said, Grant still might turn up for the $10,000 PLO on Saturday which would be pretty ballin'.

The guys went shopping again after seeing how successful my adventures were, but didn't buy as much as I thought they might, perhaps saving their money for another visit to Sapphire's, it's hard to say.

In my solitude I have reflected on my WSOP so far and come to the damning realisation that I have only played my A-Game in 4/8 events so far; It's not that I have played poorly in the others by any means; just that there were things I could have done better. The main thing that has let me down so far is calling my way into pots in the first two levels or so with speculative holdings when I really didn't need to be doing so. Whilst this itself against bad players isn't too bad at all, I havent been taking enough of the orphaned pots down when my holdings (invariably) miss the board. I think my attitude at times has been that the players here are so bad (and they are) that I can break a few rules and get away with it. When the opposite really is the case; the reason I'm better than the majority of people here is that I am able to not break the rules. Not sure if that will make sense to anyone reading, but I get it.

As such, I am looking to repeat the manner in which I played the last $2000NL with the upcoming $2000NL which starts tomorrow.

Hopefully by the time that comes around (11hrs time) my flu symptoms will have receded to the point by which they will not impair my concentration.

Looking forward to playing more golf too, little disappointed to have not played more so far, and I know Steve has been itching to hit the course more. Definitely get a round in on Friday in the unlikely event that we don't make day two of the $2000NL. Might play Reflection Bay; looks nice.

In other news: nothing.

Hope all is well at home.
